Sweet Grass Farm is a “Labor of Love” family horse farm located between Charleston and Myrtle Beach South Carolina . We have been breeding, raising, training, showing and racing American Quarter Horses for our entire lives, and started with quality American Paint horses in 1992 because it was such a surprise to see how colorful and different the babies were. We believe the horses are great for families and teach so much to our children. We stand 4-6 APHA/AQHA stallions and have about 50 select mares that are Champion and World Champion bred. Our broodmares have to do it all: ride, show, have babies, ect.

All babies are imprinted and handled from birth. We have weanlings, yearlings, and grown horses for sale, paint horses for sale, show horses for sale, stallions for sale and stallions for breeding. We have tobiano paints, overo paints, and tob-overo paints to choose from. We specialize in black horses, palomino and buckskin paints. Our horses are performance horses with good breeding, brains, as well as being beautiful. Trained in Western pleasure, trail, hunt seat, working hunter, English pleasure, heading and heeling, barrel racing and halter.

Located in the old cotton plantation area of the Black River, we are outside of Georgetown, SC. Visitors are always welcome to come experience our “Southern Low-country Living” style of horses and see why we believe “EXCELLENCE COMES BY CHOICE, NOT BY CHANCE"
